The Hindu Munnani was one of the organizations formed for the national uprising among the people. The Hindu Munnani was started at members homes, Later the state office functioned in a small hut.Later it became necessary to have an office owned by the head of state while operating at home in Chetpet.

The first office in Chennai was built in 1995 at Chintadripet and Ganapati Puja was performed on March 30. But some evil spirits who did not tolerate the growth of this organization bombed and destroyed it within 14 days of the puja. Leading employee Bible Shanmugam was killed in the blast. The state office was then temporarily shifted to Perambur.

Gopalji made a serious effort to clear the rubble of the blast and build a new building. Puja was held at the Adipureeswarar Temple before the construction of the building resumed.

Those near the office had great fear in mind. Some arrangements were made to instill confidence and grip on the movement to overcome it. Even then the protests of some; Work was initiated between these. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person.

The building was erected on the same site again in 1997 by well-intentioned Hindu Munnani volunteers.

Pradeepan did all the initial work for the building, from drawing the new building. His work continued despite opposition from many quarters. Harassment, harassment and intimidation were coming so that none of the construction workers could work. So the churn at work, the delay continued.

The building was erected with a small amount of money collected from the public by volunteers. The building was completed in May 1998 with the cooperation of Kugan, Munusamy, Sathiyaraj, Shivalingam and many thousands of other volunteers. The restructuring of this office is the best example of the Hindu Munnani's activity and the influence of the people.
